Individual Itineraries

Our schedules are flexible, allowing us to prepare a customized itinerary to satisfy your personal interests. Each cruise provides wildlife observation, fishing and sightseeing. Opportunities ashore include hiking, fresh water fishing, bicycle tours, shopping and discovering Alaskan art and culture.

Wildlife Viewing

You will be awed by the vastness and beauty of Southeast Alaska and her abundant wildlife. See whales, porpoises, sea lions and migrating salmon as we cruise to secluded coves and inlets. Ashore, you will hike through the lush Alaskan rain forest to view bald eagles and bears as they catch salmon from rushing spawning streams.

Sightseeing

From the comfortable salon or upper deck you will gaze in wonder as we slowly glide through the calm waters of glacier carved fjords. Towering cliffs, spectacular waterfalls and pristine forests will surround you with awesome beauty. The majestic mountains, tidewater glaciers, and glorious sunsets will hold you spellbound.

Fishing and Whale Watching aboard Ursa Major

Fishing

Experience the thrill of hooking world famous Alaskan halibut, salmon and cod. Dungeness crab, shrimp and clams will be harvested at many of our overnight anchorages. You will savor gourmet meals prepared from your daily catch. We have a large fish cooler, freezer and smoker aboard to preserve your fish for shipment home. All salt water tackle is provided.

Trips Ashore

Ports of call include the legendary towns of Ketchikan, Juneau, Skagway and Sitka. Also, because we are not limited to deep water ports, we will visit remote picturesque villages that are seldom seen by the cruise ship traveller.

Your small group (6 or less) will cruise in comfort and safety away from the cruise ship crowds and experience the pristine Alaskan wilderness and remote village life that is virtually unchanged from 100 years ago.
